Newly re-elected Assemblyman Vito Lopez will take a leave of absence to complete four days of radiation therapy and five days of isolation next week to treat his second cancer relapse. Lopez was first diagnosed with cancer in 1993 and was treated for another relapse earlier this year.
The Brooklyn Paper reports that his treatment will began October 7. They are unsure when he will return.
