Avenue in Bed-Stuy is Renamed for Late State Rep
Thursday the Brooklyn City Council voted to co-name Jefferson Avenue, between Tompkins and Throop avenues, after the late Hon. Bertram L. Baker, who represented Bedford-Stuyvesant in the New York State Assembly for 22 years. He was the first black elected official from Brooklyn.
Circus to Come to Atlantic Yards
