Brooklyn Cohousing, an organization founded to establish a cooperative community of private residences with communal dining and living rooms, is abandoning its efforts. According to the Brooklyn Eagle, the group , which was founded in 2008, cited a “financial crisis” as the reason they are ending the project.

Brooklyn’s Edward R. Morrow High School, named for the famed radio and television journalist, is facing budget cuts that have forced the school to close its television studios. According to the New York Times, the Midwood school was founded in 1974 and began shutting down its TV program in 2008.
