Brooklyn Cohousing, an organization founded to establish a cooperative community of private residences with communal dining and living rooms, is abandoning its efforts.

According to the Brooklyn Eagle, the group , which was founded in 2008, cited a “financial crisis” as the reason they are ending the project.
