Two of the pit bulls that attacked a Chinese-food deliveryman on Sunday in Brooklyn, ripping off one of his earlobes, will likely be sent back home, reports the New York Post.

Xiu Min Li, 48, was dropping off Jing Lung Chinese Restaurant menus door to door when he was attacked by three dogs on Winthrop Street. The third dog died, after being confined at the scene. Li maintains that he saw none of the “Beware of Dogs” signs.

The pit bulls could be returned to their owners after 10 days in an animal shelter, where health officials will monitor the results of rabies tests.
