Home Live Wire Nets and Knicks Clash Over Brooklyn Fans

The New York Knicks have hung up a giant billboard of Amar’e Stoudemire near the construction site of the new Nets arena in Brooklyn.

The 20foot tall billboard, which  also says “Brooklyn Represent” was labeled a “defensive meaneuver” by Nets CEO Brett Yormark. “I’m glad to know they know where Brooklyn is” he told the Daily News “clearly they know what is coming.”

The Nets are moving to Brooklyn in two years and billionaire owner Mikhail Prokhorov is already a well known figure in the local Russian community.

So the Knicks have attempted to reach out to Brooklyn’s Russians as well, taking their 7 foot rookie from St Petersburg, Timofey Mozgov, on a publicity tour of Brighton Beach.
