A man serving life in prison for the murder of a Crown Heights detective will be tried Wednesday, for a shooting that happened 24 hours before that incident, reports New York 1.
In 2007, Dexter Bostic shot Detective Russell Timoshenko in the neck and face while he conducted a local traffic stop.
Today, Bostic faces attempted murder charges, for the alleged shooting of Carl Field in Jamaica Queens.
Robert Ellis, a friend of Bostic´s, will also be tried for this shooting. Ellis was involved in the Timoshenko incident in Crown Heights and is serving 15 years for weapons possession.
