According to the US Census Bureau and FBI crime data, a Midwood neighborhood on Bedford Avenue, between East 22nd and 26th streets and K and I avenues, is the safest neighborhood in New York. The area is near Brooklyn College and a person has a one in 500 chance of being victim to a crime. It is also the third-safest urban neighborhood in the country.
