Home Live Wire Kensington Father Saves Children in Fire

A Brooklyn father is being touted as a hero, after tossing three children–his son, niece and nephew–out of their burning Kensington home yesterday, according to the New York Post. Mohammad Qasim, 46, lived in the house with his kids, his sister, and her kids. The frightened children would not jump to vacate the building, when Qasim tossed them to a pitched roof ten feet below. The three-alarm fire appears to have started in the basement, and firefighters responded to the scene at 415 E. Seventh St. thereafter.
