As of 3 p.m. today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has dropped 38.41 points (-0.34%), Reuters reports. The Nasdaq Index is up 7.37 points (0.29%). Meanwhile, in Washington, the Senate is preparing to vote on President Obama’s jobs bill. Many Republicans and some Democrats predict that the bill will not pass, according to the New York Times.
