In Bay Ridge, Councilman Vince Gentile signed a sister agreement with a member of the Norwegian Consulate. Farsund, a municipality in Norway, has been fascinated with American culture for years and has shown a particular fondness for Brooklyn. The province plans to recreate the borough in its “Brooklyn Square”.
“With this signing,” Gentile said, “we celebrate our two cities and shine a spotlight on the mutual contributions that have vastly enriched all of our lives.”
