President Obama recently announced that American troops will leave Iraq by the end of the year, drawing a close to a war that has cost the lives of more than 4,400 American soldiers. 21 of these soldiers were from Brooklyn.

On Veterans Day, we honor Brooklyn’s fallen, and those who remember them.
