A five-story building under construction in Brighton Beach collapsed, and people may be trapped inside it.
At least one worker was seen being brought out on a stretcher, reported CBS. Two other workers are believed to still be trapped. The CBS report said that the fourth story collapsed and sent the lower floors cascading down.
NBC said that a complaint was lodged to the Department of Building last Saturday about the construction at 2922 Brighton 5th Street.The complaint was about possible illegal after-hours work.
