On Thursday Mayor Bloomberg and Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation President Andrew Kimball announced that 300 local jobs will be created at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reports. The location is currently undergoing its biggest expansion since WWII with 400 million square feet of leasable space, and 1.6 million square feet of new space planned to be developed in the next two years. The current space is 99 percent full.
