After union campaigns to stop the closing of Kingsboro Psychiatric Center, the state advisory panel moved ahead with the decision to close the hospital. The New York Daily News reported that the Kingsboro Psychiatric Center would be consolidated with the South Beach Psychiatric Center in Staten Island. The Civil Service Employee Association plans to stage a rally later this month to protest the closing.
