Assemblymen Dov Hikind (D–Borough Park) and Steve Cymbrowitz (D–Brighton Beach) are urging Brooklyn College to cancel a lecture in support of the Pro-Palestine movement, for fear of rousing anti-Israeli sentiment. However, officials at the publicly funded institution say they are obligated to show both sides of the political situation and the event will take place on Feb. 7 as scheduled, despite the outcry from local politicians.
