Brooklyn Dojo To Send Six Students to Karate World Championship


Six pupils of a karate dojo in Flatbush have qualified to compete at the 2013 World Karate Confederation World Championship in Australia. The fact that three of the finalists share a last name is no coincidence — they’re siblings, ranging in ages from 14 to 18. Having qualified for the prestigious competition, Brooklyn’s young athletes are now reaching out to their friends, neighbors and even celebrities in hopes of raising the money needed to travel down under.
