Hasidic leaders said that it was a “culturally insensitive” plan to close blocks during Passover to shoot “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”, and that it would create a parking nightmare in South Williamsburg. They added that Passover was the busiest time of the year. Columbia Pictures, which is filming the film at the Marcy Avenue Armory, said it planned to close off parking in the surrounding streets from March 22-27.
