A lawsuit was filed last week against the NYPD and three of its officers in U.S. District Court alleging the officers pepper-sprayed a Bronx woman and her three young children. The lawsuit was filed by Marilyn Taylor and the children’s father, DeHaven McClain Sr. and says that the officers approached Taylor and McClain at the Atlantic Avenue subway station Aug. 9, 2012. According to the lawsuit, the officers accused Taylor of going through the gate without paying and then pepper-sprayed her and inadvertently sprayed her children.
