Nunzio Franzese, 56, of Gravesend, won the 4th Brooklyn Senior Idol competition and the $500 grand prize Saturday night with his rendition of “Mack the Knife,” a song most famously associated with Bobby Darin.

The contest was held at Xaverian High School in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and was sponsored by State Senator Marty Golden’s office and AARP Chapter 5055. Former radio and TV host Joe Franklin served as emcee, and former WCBS FM disc jockey Don K. Reed served as a celebrity guest judge.
