The murder case for WABC newsman George Weber opened proceedings yesterday at the State Supreme Court in Brooklyn. According to the New York Daily News, in its opening statements the defense portrayed the alleged killer, 16-year-old John Katehis, as a victim of a “47-year-old drunk predator.”
Katehis, 18, is charged with stabbing the radio DJ 50 times during “a sexual tryst” at the teen’s home in Carroll Gardens on March 20, 2009.
