Three employees and a landlord face  felony environmental crime charges for illegally polluting Shell Bank Creek, which flows into Jamaica Bay, reported the New York Daily News. Craig Novoa, manager of a Sheepshead Bay United Artists movie theater; Simon Shin, manager of Knapp Street Bagel; Alex Spivak landlord of a TGI Friday’s; and David Matalon were arrested for allegedly dumping waste including restaurant grease and human waste into the creek. The men face up to four years in jail and millions in  fines for each of their companies.
