Liciana D’Angelo of Brooklyn launched a $16 million sex harassment suit against her former employer, hair salon Devachan in Manhattan’s Broome Street. The Borough Park resident claimed that she was sexually harassed by the salon’s male co-workers and bosses, and caused her to lose promotions, pay raises and eventually the job. But the Devachan management dismissed her accusation in a statement, saying that D’Angelo is “a disgruntled former employee” who waited 18 months after her departure from the salon to make “malicious, defamatory and untrue allegations.” Read more about the case on New York Daily News.
