Two duos have been arrested and charged with sex trafficking, Brooklyn prosecutors announced on Monday. The New York Daily News reports that Melinda Carmichael, 22, and Gary Whitfield, 29, allegedly offered a 12 year old girl money to dance in strip clubs and perform oral sex on strangers.
In a separate case, Kendale “Ace” Judge, 21, and Shanique Davis, 19, allegedly prostituted a 13 year old girl in a city-run group home, holding her captive there and taking photos of her that were later published on the internet. If charged with sex trafficking, kidnapping, rape, and other counts, all four defendants face up to 25 years in prison.
