The F-train Takes the Weekend off

Inconvenient for Park Slopers: The F-train will be completely shut down at least seven weekends during the next 11 months, the New York Post reports. It will not run on Feb. 20-22 and Feb. 27-March 1. Shuttle busses will replace the trains on those weekends. Additionally, the G-trains will not run on those weekends, either.

NY1 reports that a new 929 area code will be issues for phones in every borough except Manhattan. According a May 2009 report from the Daily News, the newer 718 and 347 area codes were moving so quickly that there will be no available numbers left by 2011—there are already no available 718 numbers.
